Soup – Boon or Bane?

Write a post about anything, but it must include a cat, a bowl of soup, and a beach towel.

Slim chance of me turning a down challenge like this!

It’s like cranium, only more wordy!

This LOLcat always makes me grin!

I’m super glad we have an awesome cat. And I’m super glad that I’ve had the privilege of going to the beach and having a colorful, just-for-me beach towel. And super glad I don’t have to eat soup anymore.

It used to be part of family dinners when I was a kid. But for whatever reason, a single bowl of soup took meΒ forever to eat. I would still be at the table when all the dishes were cleared and being washed. I was bored, lonely and hated being alone. And I didn’t even like soup in the first place.

So when waiters would ask me, “Soup or salad?” I’d say, “Neither!” – both took me too long to eat.

Soup, I am glad you are not a part of my life anymore. You are spillable, hot, and stain clothes far too easily.

But, I can assure you, if I had to make family dinners, I’d probably include the nourishing liquid of vegetables. I’d just serve it in tinier bowls. πŸ˜‰

Q&A:

Soup – what’s your opinion?

Have you ever been able to punch out early?

  1. Soup~ LOVE IT! Want to have it with every meal!! What would be a good breakfast soup? EGG-drop ha ha ha…seriously, I’d have it with every meal if I could. Before the main course, so I could enjoy it on it’s own. It’s hard to have soup when in a hurry, though. Must have big spoon… lol.
