For the last few days I’ve struggling with some rather mighty and unpleasant symptoms. We have no idea what it is, but it all pointed to the idea that electrolytes would help.
Along with eating very nutritious meals, stuffing as many greens, beans and some fruit into when I can manage eating, this drink seems to take me looong strides to being back to health.
My friend let me use electrolytes she had lying around, and “they aren’t salty at all!” didn’t seem 100% true to my taste buds. 😉
Made up like this though, it’s really quite delicious!! I almost feel like it tastes like a drink I’d get from a store, maybe an organic market.

A Restorative Drink
for when you need extra electrolytes
- 12 oz water
- 1 scoop electrolytes
- 1/4 (very well-squeezed) lemon
- 1/2-1 packet pure stevia (I use the kind with inulin fiber)
Stir together and be well! 🙂
Pairs well with these meals:
Tofu, kidney beans, green beans and brussel sprouts with a whole baked potato with butter and cheddar cheese.
Or lettuce and mango. These have also gone over well to help ease me forward in the path to total health, but the drink is great to pair with this because it makes everything better. 🙂
